General information

Please fill in the form completely. Leaving out information may lead to delays in processing the application.

Data Release:

You may request a delay in data release to allow time for preparation of publications and patents etc. However, we do expect to make all results from publically funded research available through this website.

Experiment size for metabolomics:

Standard size

growth, extraction and analysis for one or two specific metabolite classes of 1-15 Arabidopsis lines or growth, extraction and comprehensive analysis of all or several classes of metabolites for 1-4 lines.

Medium size

growth, extraction and analysis for one or two specific metabolite classes of 16-25 lines or comprehensive analysis of all or several classes of metabolites for 5-15 lines.

Large experiments

growth, extraction and analysis for one or two specific metabolite classes of more than 25 lines or comprehensive analysis of all or several classes of metabolites for more than 15 lines.

Experimental information:

The abstract should contain general information to enable us to evaluate the project.

It should include the aims of the research, and give background information on the mutant or transgenic line you use and why you choose a specific type of analysis.

Technical information:

This information is very important. It is required for costing and quality assurance purposes.

We prefer freeze dried material to be submitted.

Biological replication is very important. We insist on at least three biological replicates per line / treatment. When applying for analysis, the number of desired biological replicates must be stated. Experiment type: If your experiment involves a specific treatment, or tissue separation, and no mutant or transgenic line, you should use plants with a defined accession number. This is for correlation of experimental results.

For GARNet projects, the Nottingham Arabidopsis Stock Center will send you seed from a defined accession free of charge (quote GARNet on your seed request).

If you are using a mutant or transgenic line, please donate both this line and the wild type background line to NASC if they are not available from the stock center.
